Wehavebuiltstrangethingswiththisdiscoveryofours.Weusedforitthecopperwireswhichwefoundhereundertheground.Wehavewalkedthelengthofourtunnel,withacandlelightingtheway.Wecouldgonofartherthanhalfamile,forearthandrockhadfallenatbothends.Butwegatheredallthethingswefoundandwebroughtthemtoourworkplace.Wefoundstrangeboxeswithbarsofmetalinside,withmanycordsandstrandsandcoilsofmetal.Wefoundwiresthatledtostrangelittleglobesofglassonthewalls;theycontainedthreadsofmetalthinnerthanaspider’sweb.
Thesethingshelpusinourwork.Wedonotunderstandthem,butwethinkthatthemenoftheUnmentionableTimeshadknownourpowerofthesky,andthesethingshadsomerelationtoit.Wedonotknow,butweshalllearn.Wecannotstopnow,eventhoughitfrightensusthatwearealoneinourknowledge.
