           "It’sfairhell,Iknow,"theotherwenton,"butIkindofhatetoseeyoucomeoffthewagon,Mart. Well,here’show!" 

           Martindrankonsilently,bitingouthisordersandinvitationsandawingthebarkeeper,aneffeminatecountryyoungsterwithwateryblueeyesandhairpartedinthemiddle.
