           IntheharborofBalsoraweembarked,withafavorablewind. Theship,inwhichIhadtakenpassage,wasboundtoIndia. Wehadnowforfifteendayssailedintheusualtrack,whentheCaptainpredictedtousastorm. Heworeathoughtfullook,foritseemedheknewthat,inthisplace,therewasnotsufficientdepthofwatertoencounterastormwithsafety. Heorderedthemtotakeinallsail,andwemovedalongquiteslowly. Thenightsetinclearandcold,andtheCaptainbegantothinkthathehadbeenmistakeninhisforebodings.
